TOLAR - Howard Sargent, a farmer and rancher, died Friday at a Granbury hospital. He was 82. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial will be in Tolar Cemetery.
Mr. Sargent was born in Hood County. He received the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in World War II.
Survivors: Wife, Helen Sargent of Tolar; two stepsons, Ralph Nanny of Tolar and Dwight Nanny of Gouldbusk; brother, J.D. Sargent of Tolar; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
