Suzanne Kathleen Cole, 37, of Park Rapids and Brooklyn Park entered into eternal glory Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the U of M Fairview Hospital, Minneapolis.

Suzanne was born August 5, 1971 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Roger and Kathie (Larson) Cole.

Suzanne was a graduate of Osseo High School in 1989. She also graduated from North Hennepin Community College and St. Cloud State University with a degree in social work. She also had an x-ray technician degree from Hi-Tech Institute. Before her illness, she was employed by the DMS Imaging Company in Maple Grove.


For the past year, she has resided in Park Rapids with her parents. She loved all things in the north woods, especially the wildlife. She was an avid and excellent photographer of birds, deer, flowers, bugs, butterflies and frogs.

She attended the Hubbard United Methodist Church where she participated in the Threads of Love quilting group. She also enjoyed making beaded jewelry, wood carving and decortive painting. She also collected frog figurines and antique Fisher Price toys.

On May 22, 1999 Suzanne had a liver transplant and eight years of good health thereafter.



During this time, she participated in two Transplant Olympic Games in Minneapolis and Louisville, Kent. In 2007, she contracted e.coli sepsis from which she never fully recovered.

She is survived by her parents, Roger and Kathie Cole of Park Rapids; maternal grandmother, Lois Larson of Marshall; best friend, Jennifer Lukanen of Brooklyn Park; her aunts and uncles, Dennis (Barb) Cole, Gary Hoover, Mary (Greg) Young, Marion (Donald) Fischer, Ramona (Daryl)'Kuehn, Stephen (Cindy)'Larson and cousins, Anne Patterson, Dr. David Cole, Christopher Hoover, Grant Hoover, Kari Combs, Gina Wibstad, Paula Rose, Stephanie Fischer, Timothy Fischer, Jeffrey Kuehn, Thomas Kuehn and Britta Larson. She is also survived by her beloved cats, CeCe and Apollo.

Funeral services were held March 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Hubbard United Methodist Church in Hubbard.



A reception was held at the church fellowship hall following the service. Interment was held at the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery near Dorset.
