Fred Marks, a former resident of this place died at his home in Foster, Mo., last Thursday of rheumatism of the heart following a spell of sickness. The remains were brought here for burial last Sunday. Funeral services were held in the Friends Church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, by Rev Dick. The interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Fred Mark, son of Mr and Mrs E J Mark of McLouth, was born in Perry, Jefferson county, Kansas., Nov 6, 1871. He was united in marriage to Miss Mina White, of this place, June 12, 1895. To this union was born three children two boys and one girl, one boy and the mother having gone before. On May 15, 1904 he was again united in marriage to Miss Ethel McClary. Two boys were born to this union. A wife, four children, the father, mother and three brothers are left to mourn his loss.
