Andy Brown is survived by; his wife, Verba Heath-Brown of Douglassville, Texas; his son, Sam Brown of Paris, Texas; his Step-sons, Ben Heath and his wife Carla of Douglassville, Texas and Dan Heath and his wife Judy of Douglassville, Texas; his daughters, Suzan Foster and her husband Michael of Doddridge, Arkansas and Lisa Lynch and her husband Mark of DeBerry, Texas; his Step-Daughters, Donna Magahee of Houston, Texas and Kathy Heath and her husband Don of Austin, Texas; his brothers Walter Lee Brown of Mississippi and Amos Brown of Oklahoma; his 7 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 11 Step Grandchildren and 6 Step Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and one sister.

Mr. Brown was a member of the First Baptist Church in Maud, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Springhill American Legion Post #166. Andy retired from the Postal Service as the Postmaster in Springhill, Louisiana. After retirement, Andy volunteered his time to the meals on wheels program.

Visitations: Visitation for Mr. Brown will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the funeral home.



Services: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Maud, Texas
