Notes from Noble Reid's Website:
It looks like Andrew Miley was a little bit of everything. He was commissioned a Lt. Col. in the 60th Regiment, 1st Battallion of Covington, Alabama on October 15, 1846. From May 1, 1849 to May 6, 1850 he served as a County Court Judge. He was pastor of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church for a number of year after it was organized around 1855. In 1860, he was the owner of three slaves. He was a 1st Lt. in the Covington County Farmers from May 15, 1862 to October 31, 1862. Andrew and family were in Covington County, Alabama during the Civil War. They migrated to Texas sometime around 1868/69.
Based on the fact that Andrew's wife, Mary, preceded him, it is likely, yet assumed, that Andrew was also interred here at Fairview Cemetery. His grave is possibly unmarked. If this is not correct and you have information regarding the correct location of Andrew's interment, please email me.
Thank you!
