Nina Arlene Martin, 85, of Shelbyville, formerly of Smiths Grove, died at 11:05 p.m. May 21, 2002, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.

The Edmonson County native was a secretary at the Edmonson County Extension Office, a graduate of Edmonson County High School and Bowling Green Business College, a homemaker and a member of Smiths Grove Presbyterian Church, Warren County Homemakers and Smiths Grove Woman's Club. She was a daughter of the late Isaac Martin Stewart and Lona Rich Stewart and wife of the late E.W. "Lige" Martin.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Smiths Grove Presbyterian Church Building Fund, c/o Mike McGuirk, 215 Little Elk Springs Road, Smiths Grove, Ky. 42171.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo Netherton of Morehead and Jane Martin of Shelbyville; and a granddaughter.
