HOWARD I MCKENZIE AVILTON -Howard I. McKenzie, 85, of 135 McKenzie Road, Lonaconing (Avilton), died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born May 1, 1913, in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Olin and Annie (Winner) McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen P. (Dishong) McKenzie, on Dec. 21, 1998. Mr. McKenzie was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Shrine, Avilton, and was a retired timber cutter. He is survived by his daughter, Gladys Wilhelm and husband, Larry, Lonaconing; a sister, Leora Brown, Avilton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Catholic Prayer Service will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Moody officiating.
Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery.
