Mr. Almond served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. After retirement from the IRS he was the Supervisor Extraordinaire of DA's Restaurant. Mr. Almond was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church for some 44 years.
Mr. Almond is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carrie B. Almond; one son, David Almond; two daughters, Debi A. Lancaster and Mary A. Lineberry; and one brother, Tommy Almond.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home.
