BLACKFOOT - Clarence Mark "Fizz" Jackson, 76, a lifetime resident of Pingree area, died at his home Tuesday, June 13.
He was born Jan. 4, 1913 in Pingree, to Mark and Marcia Hennefer Jackson. He attended and graduated from Thomas High School.
He farmed and ranched his entire life in the Pingree area. He married Wilma Martin Nov. 23, 1935 in Logan, Utah. Their marriage solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, March 9, 1956.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time fishing, hunting and trapping.
He is survived by his wife on Pingree; one son, Mark Jackson, Pingree; five daughters, Mrs. Daniel (JoAnn) Polatis, Thomas; Mrs. Gene (Lyla) Hoskins, Twin Falls; Mrs. Larry (Linda) Shelton and Ms. Shana Jackson, both of Thomas; Mrs. Blaine (Kerry) Benson, Blackfoot; one brother, Donald Jackson, Pingree; and four sisters, Mrs. George (Edna) Lish, Pocatello; Mrs. Jack (Carma) Young, Thomas; Ms. Louise Jones, Bainbridge, Wash.; Ms. Isabella McBride, Oakland, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Thomas Third Ward LDS Church with Bishop Zane A. Hansen conducting. The family will greet friends today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Packham Mortuary and on Friday at the church for one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery under the direction of Packham Mortuary.
