Wife of Junius William "J. W." Scott.Statesboro - Mrs. J. W. (Mamie) Scott, 94, died Monday at Statesboro Nursing Home after a short illness. She was a native of McMinn County, Tenn., but had lived in the Bulloch County area most of her life. She was a member of Guyton United Methodist Church, where she was a former member of the board of stewards and a Sunday school teacher.

Surviving are three sons, J. W. Jr. and Emmett H. Scott, both of Statesboro, and James M. Scott of Savannah; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Guyton with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Bulloch County.

Barnes Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge.
