BOYER - Orval E., 73, Johnstown R.D.5, died Dec. 26, 1991, at Conemaugh hospital. Born Aug. 29, 1918, in Accident, Md., son of Albert W. and Lota (Hostetler)Boyer. Preceded in death by parents, an infant daughter and brother, Lawrence. Survived by wife, former Bertha Berkey, and daughter, Eileen, wife of Donald Clady, Crestline, Ohio; also three grandchildren and a great-grandson. Brother of Dorothy Kaufman, Florida, Leroy H., Albert G. and Arthur W., all of Johnstown; and David, Maryland. Member of Second Brethren Church, Johnstown, where he served as deacon for more than 30 years and church treasurer for more than 40 years. Army veteran of World War II, having served with medics. Retired carpenter. Death ends marriage union of 50 years. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Gerald Zook. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions to memorial fund of Second Brethren Church, Johnstown, or American Cancer Society, Somerset-Cambria Chapter.
