Mrs. Margaret Grossell died Monday night at the home of her daughter here.
She was 83.
Mrs. Grossell had been in failing health for some time. She made her home with Mrs. Alfred Abts.
Born in Germany August 13, 1867 she was married to Jacob Grossel February 18, 1894. He died a number of years ago.
Surviving are five children: Mrs. Abts; Armin Grossell, Rock Island, Ill.; Mrs. John Hoeppner, Eau Claire, Wis.; Mrs. George Hoeppner, Winona; Robert Grossell, Fountain City. A son, Franklin, died in 1949.
She was a member of the Reformed church Ladies Aid.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Reformed church here, the Rev. Melvin C. Witmer officiating."
Note: Although her obituary states that Margaret was born in Germany, she was actually born in Switzerland.
