Ashner, Jeannine Jeannine Yvonne Ashner was born September 16, 1928 to Lillian Agnes Bailey and Theo Harris Routt and died August 17, 2009 at her home in McKinney, TX after a long battle with cancer. Jeannine grew up in Oak Cliff, TX and attended Sunset High School and graduated from Bay City High School in Bay City, TX. Graduated from Texas State College for Women, now TWU. She taught in Fort Worth schools from 1950 and later retired from teaching at Claire Oliver Elementary in Oak Cliff. Jeannine is preceded in death by her first husband, James Joel Fain, second husband, Fred W. Ashner, Jr., grandson, Colt Jackson and her younger brother, Patrick H. Routt. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Jay L. Fain and wife, Chris, James B. Fain and wife, Janet, Jon P. Fain and wife, Missy, Jill A. Westwood and husband, Dan, Joe B. Fain and wife, Michelle, Julie D. Jackson and husband, Jance, 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brother, Michael D. Routt and wife, Eileen and sister-in-law Kay Routt, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest on Wednesday August 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. August 20, 2009 at Highland Park Methodist, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75205 in Cox Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
