Funeral services for Mrs. Madelle Williams Blasingame, age 89, will be Saturday, August 9, 2008 from the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Rev. Jerry Barker officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Blasingame, a homemaker, was a member of Parkburg Baptist Church. She loved church and children. For several years she worked at First Baptist Church Daycare and always helped with the children of the churches she attended.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Blasingame as well as four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her son, David Henry Blasingame and wife Pam of Medon; sister, Thelma "Tootsie" Overton of Memphis; two granddaughters, Kimberly Annette Brantley and husband Doug and Casey McLean both of Jackson; a great grandson, Will Brantley also of Jackson.
Serving as pallbearers are Gerald Collins, Chris Cummings, Keith Overton, Gary Williams, Robbie Parker and Tony Davis.
