ANN ELIZABETH BRENZOVICH (nee GALINOVSKY)

Ann E. Brenzovich, age 89 died 2 December 2008 at The Laurels of University Park Nursing Home, Richmond Virginia; formerly of Fredericktown, Washington County Pennsylvania, Alexandria and Dale City Virginia. She was born September 12, 1919, Crucible, Greene County PA. She was the daughter of Vitus "William" and Elizabeth Ella (Kavulic) Galinovsky. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Sophie A. Waslousky-Kukol and Geneva "Jane" Cullen, two brothers; John and Stanley Galinovsky and her husband Andrew Brenzovich (September 1968) and a son Steven who died at birth.
She married Andrew on October 12, 1940 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Crucible. She resided with her family in Fredericktown until May 1957. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Ann moved to Alexandria in August 1958 with her family and resided there until December 1985 when she moved to Dale City. She retired from Giant Food Cooperation of Landham MD where she was employed as a Bakery Department Manager at the Beacon Hill Giant store in Alexandria. She was active in her church while living in Fredericktown (St. Michaels) and Dale City (Holy Family) and was involved with various arts and crafts. She moved to Richmond in October 2005 where she resided at the St. Mary's Woods Retirement & Assisted Living complex until November 2006, when she moved to The Laurels of University Park Nursing Home.
She is survived by two sons; Thomas A. Brenzovich and his wife Jenette of Spiro OK, and William E. Brenzovich and his wife Susan of Mechanicville VA, and five grand-children; Tammie D. Brenzovich-Willis of Tahlequah OK, Thomas A. Brenzovich II and his wife Erika of Greenville CA, Joseph A. Brenzovich and his wife Kristin of Spartanburg SC, William E. "Skip" Brenzovich of Berkeley CA and Jennifer Brenzovich of Richmond VA; and two great-grand-children Anna Noel Brenzovich, daughter of Joseph & Kristin Brenzovich and Jackson Thomas Brenzovich, son of Thomas & Erika Brenzovich.
Service will be private and held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 9:00am, Friday 5 December, with burial at Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax VA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bliley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Mary's Catholic Chuch, 9505 Gayton Rd, Richmond VA 23229.
