Clinton Lee Brown was the 2nd child of nine and they all grew up helping their daddy on the farm. After his marriage to Ruby Brewer, he went to work at Boling Chair Company in Siler City Chatham County North Carolina...but farming was still in his blood. He later owned two farms and became a chicken grower. When his son Robert (Bobby) was married, he and his family moved to one of his farms and they raised chickens on both farms with the number being around 150,000 capacity. It seems farming is in the Brown's blood.

His health became such that he had to spend time away from his farm at the hospital and rest home. In time he became very restless and dissatisfied until his daughter could leave him there no longer and decided to bring him home. He was brought in an ambulance to her home and when his daughter and the attendants got him settled in, he became a man at peace. He was back home on his farm.
