C. H. GARRETT RITES HELD

Final rites for Carlos H. Garrett, 23, who died at
10 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home, 503 Forth Avenue, West, after a long illness, were held at 2:30 this afternoon at the Church Of God with the Rev. R. B. Conner, the pastor, conducting. Drinkard-Howell directed burial at Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Garrett is survived by his widow; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. C.T. Garrett; four brothers, R.H. Calvis of Decatur; Edward and J. R. of Eva Route 1; a sister, Miss Bessie Garret.

Pallbearers were Tracy Knight, Raymond Norris, Jimmy Flowers, T.H. Craig, Cecil Edwards and Joe Allen. Honorary pallbearers were the following members of the young-married peoples class at the Church Of God: Walter Best, John Broadrick, W.D. Hardin, Lonnie Rix, Lavert Spiegel, Coleman Lott,Herman Golden, Otis Phillips, Myrtis Lyle, Idus Hardin, Ted Simmons, Paul McDonald, Everett Randle, Julian Owen, Floyd Sharp, Almer Travis and Lee Davis. Women members of the young-married peoples Sunday class at the Church Of God had charge of flowers.
