Maria was a Washington and the Washington lineage is through her back in time. She connects to Martha Washington via Gideon Macon their common ancestor. This is the Alston-Washington branch though there are other family connections as there were intermarriages. The Washingtons also fell victim to numerous intelligence plots, British, Nazi, eugenics, others, so has a complex family structure. Martha Washington's family lands were looted by the Federal Government and Arlington Plantation stolen at the time of the Civil War. Records were burned by the malicious US Government which wanted us all dead and dud murder many of us. Webbs were and remain Confederates in our American patriotism and our allegiance to our own Crown Family as we are Royals, sons a daughters of The Lord to King Edward III. John Augustine Washington III ended up owning Mt Vernon Plantation. "Little Webb Plantation" in Scotland Neck was lost to crop liens due to Civil War, Federal taxation we opposed and the Great Depression. Martha was kin to Prince Augustus William of Prussia in the House of Hohenzollern, originally I believe Kohen-Zollern. Martha was a German Royal and like all Kohen-Zollern traced her ancestry to the Holy Land. George Washington you will observe has a Jewish nose and resembles those like Queen Elizabeth, II and the in the House of Hanover. He may also have been part American Indian and I think surname goes to The Washes in East Anglia, England. Mesmerism, baptism, washing may also have been factors in this surname origin.

There is a Theory that the Crowell surname was actually Cromwell and that those Crowells in Halifax Co. NC were of Oliver Cromwell descent. This Story was published by the Halifax Co., NC Genealogical Society Bulletin of May 1993 ? and is likely accurate. Like all theories it needs study and confirmation. There is a Crowell’s Crossroads in Halifax Co., NC on Rt. 125. Sadly the events of the American Civil War lead to much history lost in war. Time too has lost information. Some can be reconstructed.
The Story of Mariah Crowell Allen 1857-1890, Mother of Charles “Buckingham” Allen Webb, Sr.
Mariah or Maria is buried in Raleigh, North Carolina. Buckingham’s Washington lineage is via Maria Crowell Allen to the Allens of Bacon’s Castle Virginia and Alston cousins of Martha Washington wife of General George Washington. William Orgain Allen ended up owning Jamestowne now also lost. Abuse of power of Government has greatly damaged us and our weaolh diminished. Martha was at one time the richest woman in Northern Virginia. These Webbs were Royal Colonists in Halifax Co, NC an area known for the Halifax Resolves which lead to the American Revolution in 1776. There is also a relationship to Weldon, NC and a Mr. Weldon who wrote of King James I homosexuality and other sub-groups / factions there which were in conflict with the Kings of England. They were their Royal Cousins and just like in the Boston Tea Party story, were tired of working to tithe taxes to a King whom they felt did not represented their interests. America was a Colony of cotton and other products to enrich, embellish and adorn the Crown and yet the Crown was out of touch with the hard work required to produce that wealth and the plight of the Colonists left to defend themselves against Indians, nature and the other dangers in the New World. Colonists many themselves Royals and the Monarchy’s own Cousins wanted the autonomy of a King. No King was sustainable without a military and that was expensive. The King had no empathy and failed to govern and meet the needs of the people so eventually his Government lost America under King George III. Issues of the day were King George III’s exploitation of the American Colony, King James I alleged homosexuality and archaic religious belief systems, King Charles I autonomy, Oliver Cromwell’s temporary and foolhardy abolishment of the British Monarchy, Catholicism v Protestantism and Spanish Claimants on America, the New World. This religious conflict was really racial, Germanic (British) v. Latin (Spanish-Italian). Maybe they would have accepted a British Pope in Rome !
Thomas Fairfax had arranged a coup d’etat in London. This was the same Fairfax Family of Fairfax Co., Virginia adjacent to “Arlington Plantation”, Virginia, home of Martha Macon Dandridge Custis Washington. These were the Lee Baronets and the Royal House of Brownlow - Cust. I mention alsy Littleton NC and Lyttelton Nobles in England. Much later Robert E. Lee rose to power briefly as the Washington Family’s General. George Washington had been to Halifax and so had the Marquis de Lafayette. Richard Cromwell may have served as a captain in Thomas Fairfax's lifeguard during the late 1640s.
King Charles I was executed after refusing a Parliament and democratic vote for 11 years acting with total autonomy in England. He claimed he acted by “Divine Right” as King and yet his Royal Subjects claimed he was a Tyrant. Charles had also married a Catholic in an Anglican Country. He was disliked for these and other reasons. With all the eugenics and family connections in the Monarchy and intermarriage of Charles I with a Catholic who was Sister of King Louis XIII of France, I am sure Charles I was acting upon what he believed was God’s course for the World. It was Charles who issued the land grants and surveyed the Americas extending Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina to the Mississippi River boundary to the Louisiana Purchase Territory. So with the Orleans King Louis XIII and New Orleans issues of Catholicism I am sure this was his mind set, serving his Lord, and a Catholic reconciliation of the sects of Christianity. What a visionary actually. Charleston, SC is named for him. Tragically Charles I was not well protected and understood and was executed I believe wrongfully by beasts in London wanting the King’s power they lacked the mental capacity and spiritual understanding to handle. Cromwell fell. No doubt Charles was on a higher plane than his Subjects but his failings were perhaps his failure to educate the people he governed to his level of intellect. In his defense could Beasts wanting his head really eve be enlightened. Doubtful. Alas the same story is retold as history repeats and the World has fallen from Angels to Beasts. He had previously sought the marriage to a Spanish Habsburg. Cromwell was both loved and hated depending upon your view point and the Monarchy was restored under Charles II thank the good Lord. Some Cromwells are said to be in America. It may be true as under King George III much later American royal colonists revolted against their own King George III and replaced the governmental system with a sham democracy under the Washingtons, Martha and George also in a sham lavender “State Marriage” for the public. Nonetheless, the Washingtons at least were on the American Continent, there was a vote in America even if by Founding Fathers themselves covert Royals in a sham democracy. Government and interests of the people were more closely in sync.
In North Carolina there were and are many secret Royal Lines there to populate the New World, America, in fertility and in rivalry with other Kingdoms in the Monarchy with New World claims. All Louisiana and California were still totally free and not at that time fettered to the corrupted American Government. The French and English Common Law system was not yet superimposed on the Indian Lands and their rights not divided up. There were many Royal Houses all wanting a piece of the American pie and with militaries ready to win it. People talked of Democracy publicly to be politically correct but privately the Monarchy wanted America. Which Monarchy ? Which race and which religion though ?
In fact, Benjamin Davis Webb, Maria Crowell Allen’s wife looked like Sir Water Raleigh, Francis Bacon, Lord Burghley, King James I, King Charles I and many others, even Explorer Marco Polo and the Apostles. They may have acted u[on divine right of emanation extending from Moses likely via Count Burkhard of Zollern? Generations later Buckingham Webb still spoke of Moses and was devout calling himself an “Israelite”. The Allens lived in Bacon’s Castle Virginia and no doubt Nathaniel Bacon was kin to Francis Bacon who was involved in mysterious occult pursuits incl. buggery (anal probing and animal magnetism), esoteric religions, Freemasonry, St. Germain and perhaps the magic of John Dee also resembling Webb. All this pertains to the halo, anus and O Ring at the Earth’s Poles and Extraterrestrials said to appear at time of Christ. King James looked like the Apostles. Generations later Buckingham Webb also spoke of magic. It was the Biblical magic of Pharaohs. Slavery was also Biblical and in their minds correct in exalting the Lord’s elect over Beasts they were charged to govern. So in understanding we can see a clearer picture of why things were the way they were.
The story is that there were two brothers, John and Edward Crowell/Cromwell. Oliver Cromwell had one son Richard Cromwell who succeeded his Father but was removed. If England were to have a King and successor again after Cromwell’s malicious and EVIL deed it was going to be Charles II and not Richard Cromwell. There is an account by Rt. Rev. Atkinson, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina in an address in Raleigh. Richard Cromwell is said to have fled to France taking the fictitious name John Clark. After the death of his first wife Dorothy, he married Jacolette Hozier and had children. Some years later, Richard returned to England with his French wife and they were married in England in 1679. A son was born Oct. 17, 1680. He was baptized as Thomas Cromwell on Dec. 23, at Hursley Hampshire. In the official record books she found the name Thomas Cromwell. Some years before this, two sons of Richard Cromwell's brother Henry Cromwell had come to New Jersey. They were the ones who cut the “m” from the surname Cromwell on the way over to America in 1674. At some later time, Thomas Cromwell changed both his given and surname Thomas to Edward and Cromwell to Crowell.
True or untrue it is family lore, likely true and I post it for posterity.
Edward Crowell, 1680-1756 is in the churchyard of the Presbyterian Church. He was married 3 times and had 6 sons and 6 daughters. Two sons, John and Edward, came to Halifax County, North Carolina.
The Crowell name first appears in the county in the wills of John
and Edward.
John Crowell's will probated 1760. Executors, wife Elizabeth, brother,
Edward, Joseph Montford. His children were Edward, John, Joseph, Mary.

I myself am a Monarchist and disagree with Oliver Cromwell’s efforts to abolish the British Monarchy. I believe in a Parliamentary Democracy and 100% believe in a Monarch. I do support the democratic process but have observed even today that a Democracy is not a sustainable and effective form of Government. People elected often lack the mental capacity to vote on issues they can’t grasp and Democracies with no oversight of a Monarch are corruptible and worse corruptible to Beasts far beneath the King so worse. Leadership to a Nation must be instilled to the divine and those with intellect and history to govern in continuity. On the contrary these Leaders must be mindful never to neglect the interests of the people governed. In turn the people governed must recognize that no one man governed can always have all his/her wants to the expense of another. It is an age old problem and will be solved only with the ability of mankind to see another’s point of view. It is hard to govern unenlightened Beasts and so I myself empathize with King Charles I and also see that Oliver Cromwell wanted reform. I don’t think Cromwell was a bad man at heart but a foolish one and in any event to execute Charles I was a desecration of the divine.

Maria as I recall comes from Wake Co. or Warren Co., Raleigh, NC but these needs confirmation.

Maria was also spelled Mariah and her parents were Mariam Bradford Alston Allen and Colonel Christopher Blake Allen both in Raleigh, North Carolina, area. Mariam is buried at Old City Cemetery in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Allen was an old Welsh name I was told.

The Alston are very distinguished Southern Family well documented in a book called "The Alstons and Allstons of North and South Carolina". This book documents the Washington lineage. Officially we are by documents Martha Washingtons second cousins however may be direct descendants. Our branch was involved in secret projects and eugenics linked to the Monarchy. We are a secret Washington branch and all since Buckingham spy operatives for the United States. It is possible there were others before. Buckingham was a Spy.

The Allens are also a very distinguished Southern American Family to James Allen and Jamestowne, Virginia. Lorene Roberts in Virginia is an expert.

Some theorize that Crowell was actually Cromwell and kin to Oliver Cromwell. It may be so as these families were all colonial English with aristocratic roots.

JAMES ALLEN

James and Ann lived in Hanover Co.-VA where he was a church warden at St. Paul's. He was later one of a group that broke from the established church of England and formed the nucleus from which Rev. Samuel Davies and others were able to increase membership in the Presbyterian Church of Virginia. James and Ann apparently never moved, but his sons came into Cumberland County a number of years before the Revolutionary War and then prior to the Revolution moved to Prince Edward Co.-VA. It was during the 1750's and 60's probably. Many of these Allens were members of D. Archibald Alexander's congregations (Dr. Alexander was a famous Presbyterian preacher of this era. Two of James' sons, Charles and James, Sr., moved to Prince Edward County. Sons Benjamin, Daniel, and Richard lived in Cumberland County. The root from which they all proceeded was (like various eminent persons in our memoir) a member of Mr. Davie's church in Hanover, and was converted, it is thought, under the missionary labors of Whitefield. JAMES ANDERSON ALLEN, SR

James Anderson Allen, Sr., was a faithful contributor on the pages of James Morton's account book up through 1792; after that he is no longer listed. James Allen, Sr., died in October 1793. Other members of the Cumberland Congregation were the John Mortons, John and Ann Nash, Elizabeth and Nathaniel Venable, the Woodsons, Womacks and Watsons - all of these are among those who moved into the Hampden-Sydney area in the mid- 1790's
James Allen, Sr., was a member of the Prince Edward Committee which on June 19, 1775, adopted resolutions condemning the actions of the English Governor of the Colony, Lord Dunsmore, in removing the gun powder from Williamsburg, but James, Sr. still at this time, "avowed unfeigned attachment and loyalty to the English king, George III." James later served on a county Committee of Safety formed in November of 1775 which implemented local organization and cooperation in the war effort. Clearly he was no longer loyal to the King.
James, Sr., was probably too old for active service in the Revolution, but he furnished supplies to the Continental Army. Many of his sons, brothers, nephews and sons-in-law were in the Virginia Militia in Prince Edward, Cumberland or Charlotte Counties. The James Allen Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Nottoway and Amelia Counties is named for James Allen, Sr., and is a tribute to his great efforts and contributions to this cause. The DAR "Patriot Index" gives the following information that shows the patriotic fervor of these early Allens': "The Allens of Prince Edward County were great patriots. James Allen, Sr. is called a patriot by virtue of the fact that he was on the Committee of Safety for Prince Edward County and that he supplied the Revolutionary forces from that area. In addition to this, the DAR Index list three of this sons and one son-in-law: I. James Allen, Sr. b. 7-7-1724; d. 1793; m. Elizabeth Sims PS VA. James Allen, Jr. b. CIR 1750; d. 11-28-1808; m. Charles Allen b. 9-10-1748; d. 2-8-1816; M. Mary Venable COL. VA In addition to his war efforts, James, Sr., worked to keep Hampden-Sydney College open during the War. He and four other men were named to draw plans and let contracts for the building of Hampden-Sydney College in 1775. He was elected a Trustee of the Academy and College. A note on John Blair Smith, first president of Hampden-Sydney College says "With Smith, men of great probity, high public estimation, and private worth, were associated with the seminary. These names include Venable, James Allen, Sr. and Morton."
Dr. Archibald Alexander, in commenting on the Allen's has this to say: "James, the eldest, was on of the most venerable men I ever saw. When I came to the County, he was above seventy years and lived alone. He was more than six feet tall, slender, pale, of benignant countenance, with hair as white as snow. Most of his time was spent over a large family Bible, which lay open on a small table and which he often moistened with his tears." (A footnote says Dr. Alexander may have been mistaken about his age as James died at age 69 in October of 1793.
Dr. Alexander also mentions an incident that shows that James, Sr., had a sense of humor and humility. "His Son James, Jr. before his conversion, was often irascible and in public brawls. He was of great muscular power. Son James came home one day in a rage, threatening to flog a man who called his father an old hypocrite. His father said meekly, "Jemmy, my son, be not angry. I assure you it is the very thing I have suspected of myself for 20 years." James, Jr. later died a slow torturous death of cancer which began in his lip.
James, Sr. owned extensive holdings along the Briery River. His will is recorded in Will Book 2, page 197, in Prince Edward County Courthouse; numerous trans- actions involving selling and buying lands are recorded in the early deed books. Besides being an extensive landowner and owner of slaves, James, Sr., was active in public life. He represented Prince Edward County in the General Assembly in 1782 and was Justice of the County Court. He is described in "Notes on Southside by Walter Watson, as a man of intelligence and property. Grandsons Christopher and Daniel, the son of Daniel, inherited the property on which he lived. JOHN GEORGE ALLEN
4-Apr-1856 - 04-Mar-1932

John George Allen was born in Benton County, Tennessee the 6th son of James Allen (1826-1901) and Mahala Ann (Brown) Allen (1828-1860). John Allen 1880 census of Tennessee page 62. John George "aka" "Johnnie Green" "John Green & "John A." Allen. Johnnie Green was first married to Elizabeth Reed on Sep. 30, 1880 in Benton Co.-TN, married by Joseph Allen, J. P. John and Elizabeth had a boy named Andrew that disappeared during WW-I and a girl named Sadie believed to have married a "Jim Jack Allen and moved to Texas and never returned. His married 2nd Martha Francis [Abbott] Allen on Sep. 4, 1895, by William Riley Kee, J. P. Their children: McKinley m. Beulah Speed, Homer m. Josephine Ervin, Hattie m. Carlos Blaylock, Claradell m. Commadore Reece, Minnie m. Luke Jordan, Hester died at 6 yrs, Arlie, Dennison m. Corine Sheridan, Bennie died at 18 yrs, Johnny Bee m. Gay Jordan and Guy m. Hazel Bonds.
Johnnie and Martha lived about two and one half (2 1/2) miles East of Trezevant on Big Buck and Little Buck Road. Johnnie Green was a farmer.
Grandpa Johnnie Green favored pictures of Abraham Lincoln. He practiced an old time ritual of touching his finger to his tongue and then gently rubbing an injury, scrape, bruise etc. and mumbling under his breathe while doing so. I am not sure but, I figure he was praying or repeating some secret incantation. At any rate the injury always seemed to get better right away.
Johnnie Greene Allen took sick, and about the same time his daughter Bennie came down with Typhoid Fever. I cannot remember what illness Grandpa had. Bennie died of the fever, and Grandpa died soon after.
John George Allen is a half-brother to Malinda Louise Allen, the third wife of his father-in-law Henry Franklin Abbott, the father of his second wife Martha Francis Abbott.

Martha: Aka "Tense" "Mary" Martha Francis married John George Allen a half-brother to her fathers third wife Malinda Louise Allen.

"They lived chiefly in Cumberland, but also in Prince Edward, and many of them were parishioners of Mr. Alexander.
