Frederick Senator Montier-son of David and Mary S. Kelly Montier.

Among those who drifted with the tied on Wednesday night, was Mr. Fred Montier and Miss Fannie Gaines, and thus it is that while the broad circle of the unmarried loses a miss, Montier Gaines a wife. The nuptial ceremony was performed by Rev. A.W. Burroughs of this city, at the residence of Mr. C. Britt, on the Chocolate, after which there was a very zestful feast of turkey and a copious flow of drink, together with dancing, until after six o'clock the next morning. The gold ring in the wedding cake fell to the lot of Miss Foster, another young lady got the nickel and the young gentleman who swallowed the button merely remarked that he thought that one of the currents hadn't softened! Ingratitude to the cooking of the confectionery.
