He graduated from Logan High School and entered USAC. Completing a year of college, he fulfilled a two-year LDS mission to Germany and Austria. After returning from his mission, he attended and graduated from the University of Utah.
He married Helen Johnson of Logan in the LDS Logan Temple on June 2, 1936. They were married for sixty-seven years.
Grandfather Budge spent his career as a prominent automobile businessman in Logan.
He was particularly known for his devotion and love of family. The camping, fishing, and hunting trips will always be remembered and appreciated by his wife, and children.
Grandfather Budge always claimed that the highlight of his life was his companionship with Helen. They traveled extensively together.
Preceded in death by his sons, Tom and Paul, he is survived by his wife, Helen, by his daughter, Arlene (Stephen) Price of Layton, two daughters-in-law, Marin Budge of Salt Lake, and Amy Budge of Alaska. He has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 12 noon in the Logan City Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
