For many years, Herman was in the automotive supply industry. Later he was a salesman for several local oilfield supply companies. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. He shares a stone with his wife, Wyoma Jean Toole Denson, who he married 18 September 1940. He was residing in Palestine at the time of his death in a local hospital. He was survived by his wife of Palestine; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Denson Pearman of Alto ; son, Donald Herman Denson of Tyler; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Saturday, 13 August 2005.
