WOOLMARKET - Mrs. Cassie Edwards Rouse, 94, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, in Gulfport. Mrs. Rouse was a native of Woolmarket and was a resident of Gulfport until 1979. She retired in 1965 from Sears as a sales manager and was a member of Woolmarket Garden Club and Beauvoir Chapter No. 621 United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport and was a member of Coalville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Rouse Sr.; a daughter, Eleanor Rouse Jackson; a great-grandson, Hershel Wayne Gray; and her parents, Henry Edwards and Annie Richards Edwards. Survivors include a son, Col. Larry M. Rouse Jr. of Yorktown, Va.; a daughter, Mary Lou Rouse Adams of Gulfport; a sister, Amelia Edwards Sullivan of Gulfport; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A service will be at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. The family prefers memorials to Coalville United Methodist Church Building Fund, 12556 Lorraine Road, Biloxi, MS 39532; the American Cancer Society, 182-A DeBuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531; or American Heart Association, 180 DeBuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531
