Gravestones read by Elva Roseberry in the 1930's found his gravestone in the graveyard by the church. Mostly all those stones have either been knocked over, possibly removed or broken and covered by the ground.
Ms. Roseberry read his death as July 15, 1849, aged 76 years, 2 months and 21 days, which would give a birth date of April 24. 1773.
