A native of Gloster, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1925. He was one of the first employees hired at Dow Chemical U.S.A. in Plaquemine and retired after 28 years of service as an auditor.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Ruth Carroll Wilkinson of Baton Rouge; brothers, Thomas Lamar Wilkinson, Robert Pinckney Wilkinson, Foster Flowers Wilkinson and the Rev. H. Ben Wilkinson; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, J. Bryan Carroll; and sisters-in-law, Marie, Suelynn and Billie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mittie Evelyn Prickett; and brother, W.H. Wilkinson. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was active in the F.A.S. Crowd, the Career Club at First Presbyterian and was a former Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Bocage Racquet Club.
