Billy F. Perdue, 72, of Winifrede died March 6, 2008, in CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
He was a 16-year employee of Rail Switching at Dupont Belle Plant and was a former employee of Winifrede Railroad for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Franklin Dale Perdue; parents, Pat and Lennie Stone Perdue; brothers, Edward and Marvin; and sisters, Ethel, Annie, Margaret and Hazel.
Surviving are wife, Barbara Stover Perdue of Winifrede; daughter, Diana Hawkins of Inman, S.C.; brothers, Pete Perdue of Sullivan, Ohio, John Perdue of Winifrede, David Perdue of Chesapeake; sisters, Charlotte Vance of Marietta, Ohio, and Frances Jarrett of Slaughters Creek; grandchildren, Wendy and Casey Hawkins of Inman, S.C., and Jennica Perdue of St. Albans; two great-grandsons, Caleb and Aaron Grigg of Inman, S.C.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. Jack Long officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
