Church Hill,--Monte Ferrell, 60, of Church Hill, passed away on Friday (August 21, 2009) at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Monte Ferrell was a native of Big Stone Gap, Va.
Mr. Ferrell was preceded in death by his parents, Carson Amous and Irene (King) Ferrell; as well as his brothers, Calvin ferrell and Keith Ferrell.
Surviving Monte ferrell are his sister; Kay Williams of Big Stone Gap, Va; his three sons, Brian Ferrell of Surgoinsville, Brad Ferrell of Fort Knox, Ky., and Jeff Ferrell of Church Hill. Monte also leaves behind eight grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
