Obituary
John Henry LeTellier, 37 years and 9 months of age, of Somerset Kentucky, departed this ife and entered into eternal peace on Friday night, January 7th, 1927 at the Somerset General Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He had undergone an operation for appendicitis and while his condition was regarded as serious, his death came suddenly and was a shock to his family and many friends.

John was born on April 7th, 1889, son of John Curtis LeTellier and Amanda Frances Humphries LeTellier.

John had resided in Somerset, Kentucky for a number of years being employed by Southern Railroad in the Feguson shops as a machinist. He was regarded by all who knew him as an honorable, upright, Christian gentleman. He was a devoted member of the High Street Baptish Church, taking an active part in all Church activities. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge No#683, the Somerset Council No#193, the Somerset Masonic Lodge No#111, and the Junior Order of United American Mechanics.

John was survived by his parents, John and Amanda LeTellier; his loving wife, Emma Conatster LeTellier; three children, Anna LeTellier, Herman LeTellier, and Mildred LeTellier; two sisters Geneva Greer of Knoxville, Tennessee and Christina Evans of Washington, DC; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.. at the Elm Street Baptish Church in Knoxville, Tennessee by is pastor, Rev T.C. Duke of Somerset, Kentucky on Monday, January 10, 1927

Burial followed in the Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee

Among those from Somerset who attended his funeral were: Rev T.C. Duke, W.V. Owens, M.D. Blanton, W.T.Laughery, Mr & Mrs Roy Guffey, Ruby Gentry, Margaret Guffey, and Mrs. G.W. Cooper and sons.
