W. W. Cox, son of Mr and Mrs Wilson and Nancy Cox, died at his home in Havensville, Ks. July 24, at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 24 days. He was born May 31, 1887, at Soldier, Kansas. He was married to Flossie Eddy January 15, 1908, and they made their home in the Havensville community. To this union two daughters were born: Lucille Marcoux of Kansas City, Ks., and Elaine Sauvage of Havensville. Willis Cox was a barber for nearly 50 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and received his 50 year pin a short time ago. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Flossie of the home; two daughters, Lucille and Elaine; 4 grandchildren, Lynn Scott, Karl, Glenda Lou, and Gordon; 2 step grandchildren, Shirley Randel of Topeka and Harold Sauvage; one twin sister, Mrs. Mayme Tolin of Topeka; nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Saturday July 27, 1958, at 2:00 p.m. at the Havensville Christian church, with Rev. Robt. Schultz and Rev. Howard Caskey officiating. Burial was in Havensville cemetery.
