Funeral Service for Henry F. Schafer, 74, who died last Thursday were held from the Zion Congreation church Sunday, with Rev. F. Burkhadt officiating. Mr. Schafer was born in Frank, Russia, Oct, 18, 1865 and came to the States in 1882, settling at Walla Walla for 13 years. On June 20, 1892 he was united in marriage to Mable Schafer and came to Adams county in 1901 where he had been living up to the time of his death.

He is surivided by his widow; four sons, Henry F. Schafer Jr., Yakima; John and William Schafer, of California; David Schafer; six daughters. Mrs. Lewis LaFriniere, Belllingham; Mrs. Everett Streeter, Mrs. Fred Kupers and Mrs. Bill Knapp, Harrington; Mrs. David Mann, Mt. Hope; Mrs. Cecil McCall and 14 grandchildren.
