She was born in Lynchburg, Va., and had been a longtime resident of Alexandria, Va., before retiring in 1978 to Longboat Key and then to Bradenton, Fla. She had been a resident of St. Augustine for the past two months. She was a retired Branch Manager for the Alexandria National Bank and was a member of the Pilot Club and the American and Business Womens Club.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Kotrady-Hudgins-Croyle Funeral Home. Officiating: Rev. Chuck Lichtenberger.
Survivors: Her husband, T. Harvey James, St. Augustine; sons, Clarke V. Slaymaker, Alexandria, and Michael D. Slaymaker, Albany, Ga.; step-daughters, Debi James, St. Augustine, and Marci James, Greenbackville, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
