Sorrell, Paul J. "Biggin", age 81, of Middletown, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 9, 1927 in Middletown, Ohio to William Elmer and Myrtle (Cottingin) Sorrell. He served our country in the US Army during WWII with an honorable discharge. He was a labor mechanic for Dickerson, labor for S/K Construction and carpenter for Sorrell Brothers, Inc., a construction business he owned with his brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Oleta (Benton) Sorrell in 1985; son, Larry Sorrell and grandson, Larry Gene Sorrell. Paul is survived by his children, Terry (Mary) Sorrell, Elaine (Tom Collins) Singhoffer; Tim (Sharon Wilburn) Sorrell and Jim (Jeanne) Sorrell; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; girlfriend, Agnes Reed; 1 brother and 1 sister and a host of other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Jack Hooker. Internment will be at Woodside Cemetery with Honor Guard Services.
