LAWSON, CLAUDIA LEE RILEY - age 77, of Sweetwater, passed away 6:45 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2000 at the family home after a battle with cancer. She was a member of East Sweetwater Freewill Baptist Church. She was a member of the Sweetwater Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #5156. She was preceded in death by husband, John H. Riley, Jr. and Homer Wallace Lawson. Survivors: daughters and sons in law, Carloyn Riley & Richard Wayne Brown, of Hernando, Miss., Cynthia Lawson & Harvey Anderson McDaniel,of Tellico Plains.; sons and daughter in law, Wallace Edward & Teresa Ann Lawson, Douglas Eugene Lawson, both of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Christopher & Timothy Brown, Stephanie Edwards, Andrea Webb, April & Douglas Lawson II; very special friends, Gladys Gilleland, of Sweetwater. The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Kyker's Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell Payne officiating. Interment to follow in Sweetwater Memorial Park.
