Mother to:
Christine,John,Jerg,Frederick,Margarethe, Adam,
Jacob & Elizabeth Saddlemire
Came to Philadelphia Pa from Germany Married. She and her husband along with their Two sons WALKED from Philadelphia, Penn. To Knox,New York where their family had grown. I Just read something that was sent tn me from Jerry Saddlemire. I have seen what an amazing woman Ursula was. I am so Proud to know that I had such a wonderful, loving, strong woman to be my 6th Great Grandmother. I am not surprised; for She would be so Proud of one of her Great granddaughters, Beulah Mae Neff. Beulah Was the daughter of Lena Zimmer and Elmer Neff. I am glad that I have been able to finally connect them all together. This Memorial is So that the Memory of "Ursula Bassler Sedelmayer" will be treasured. One Quote from what I read for all to know;" She worked for others through the day and planted and harvested her own crops after her days work was done, but she kept her children with her and reared them to be honest men and women."
If you would like to read it:
The following is a transcript of the original manuscript, which is owned by Frieda Saddlemire of Knox, NY. This
version is transcribed exactly as it was written in 1895, with punctuation added for clarity.
