WILLIAM H. HAGGARD DIES SUNDAY NIGHT
Funeral Services To Be Wednesday

William Henry Haggard, 90, prominent retired farmer of Monroe, died at 11:40 o'clock Sunday night at the Adams county memorial hospital. Death was attributed to infirmities, and followed an illness of three weeks.
He was born in Fayette county, O., March 16, 1862, a son of John and Sarah Jane Allen-Haggard, and was married to Effie Mix Nov. 21, 1884. Mrs. Haggard died March 14, 1941.
Mr. Haggard, a resident of Adams county for 63 years, was a member of the Monroe Friends church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Elfia Jones of Monroe; three sons, Arthur Haggard of Fort Wayne, Enos Haggard of Indianapolis, and Harvey Haggard of near Decatur; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Haggard of Pontiac, Mich., and Jason Haggard of Holliday, N.D.; three sisters, Mrs. Roberta Noffsinger of Monroe, Mrs. Edward Roe and Mrs. Grace Erp of Decatur. Ten brothers and sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Monroe Friends church, the Rev. Vernon Riley and the Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. The body was removed to the Jahn funeral home at Bluffton, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening until 9 a.m., Wednesday, after which it will lie in state at the church until time of the services.
