Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Fred Quast, 59, at the Danekas and Duncan funeral home chapel with the Rev. Herbert Haemmelmann officiating. Burial was in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Quast died at his home Friday evening.
Born in Eugene, Oregon, Quast came to Adams county nearly 50 years ago and farmed about six miles southeast of Ritzville. Surviving are his widow, Edna, at the home; two daughter, Mrs. Julia Weir and Mrs. Iris LaMarche, both of Seattle; one brother, Martin Quast of Davenport; three grandchildren.
