"Alice Brown Reece Of Pingree, Dies"
BLACKFOOT, July 14. - Mary Alice Brown Reece of Pingree, died at a Pocatello hospital Thursday following an operation Wednesday afternoon. She had suffered a stroke January 6, 1940 and had not been well since.

Funeral services will be held Sundat at 2 p.m. from the Thomas LDS church with Bishop LeRoy Dance officiating. Friends may call at the Sandberg funeral home until service time. Burial will be in the Thomas-Riverside cemetery.

She was born Nov. 2, 1890 at Taylorsville, Utah, the daughter of the late George Albert and Mary Jenkins Newbold. She married William E. Brown at the Salt Lake temple in 1910 and they came to Idaho in 1914 settling in the Thomas section. Mr. Brown died March 27, 1927 and she was married to B. A. Reece at Logan Sept. 22, 1932. In earlier life she was active in the Relief society and Primary organizations of the LDS church.

She is survived by her husband, B. A. Reece of Pingree and the following sons and daughters: William Albert Brown of Blackfoot, route 2, Pvt. Reed J. Brown, with the army at Camp Ord, Calif., but home on furlough and Mrs. Mary Blair of Heyburn.

Also surviving are four grandchildren and the following brother and sisters: Mrs. T. W. Teasdale, Salt Lake City; Mrs. H. G. Carsey, Mrs. R. J. Norris of Magna, Utah, and Mark J. Newbold of Murray, Utah."
