Nancy Turner Grogan
Canton, Mississippi - Nancy Turner Grogan, 61, an historic preservationist, died after struggling with breast cancer Monday, March 14, 2005, at her home. Visitation is 1 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Services are 2 p.m. today at the funeral home with burial in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Nancy was born August 20, 1943 to Marjorie and Eric Turner in Greenwood. She grew up in Jackson where she attended Murrah High School and she graduated from the Mississippi University for Women.
Nancy married Bill Grogan on March 21, 1964. They lived in Canton where they renovated a log home known as Tilda Bogue, an 1830s log home on the National Register of Historic Places.
Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton and is survived by her husband, Bill, daughter, Allison Crews, son-in-law, Jim Crews, and their children Jake and Turner of Canton. Her son, Nolen Grogan, daughter-in-law, Julie Grogan and their children Berkley and Will live in Keller, Texas.
The family would like to thank Dr. Grace Shumaker and the staff of Jackson Oncology Associates for their dedicated care.
