The funeral service for former gift shop employee Lou Frances Ellis Scott of Paris will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Paul Merwin and Fred Shackelford will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, formerly Dumplin Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Born in Henry County on Nov. 10, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Murray Thomas Ellis and Lela Lillian Nanney Ellis.
She was married on Jan. 30, 1943, to Elihu Scott, who died March 4, 2006.
Scott was a Baptist and a homemaker. She also worked at Rupe's Gift Shop, formerly in Routon.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Daniel Scott on March 2, 2013; a sister: Lee Edna Brown; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery "Dumplin Hill" fund, c/o Judy Wade, 980 Palestine Road, Paris.
