Our beloved Victor L. Darnell peacefully passed away Tuesday morning, November 20, 2007, in OKC. He was born May 22, 1917 in Comanche County KS to Oral and Vida Gates Darnell. Vic worked on several large ranches including the Mullendor Ranch as a cowhandrange rider. After attending Oklahoma A&M, he taught school, served in the Air Force as instructor, then worked in the oil fields of West Texas and Oklahoma. He retired from the Oklahoma Health Department as dairy inspector and began real estate sales. Victor is survived by his wife, Virginia Darnell; two sons and their wives, Jim and Sue Darnell, Eric and Ann Darnell; and five grandchildren, Jeep, Jake, Ryan, Tiffy, and Eric Darnell, all of El Paso, TX. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Joy Beers of Tulsa, OK. Visitation will be held November 24, 2007 prior to the funeral service held at 11:00 a.m. at Smith & Kernke Chapel 23rd Street.
