Wm. Templeton died at his home, north of Belleville, Monday, December 16, 1912, at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 25 days. He was born in Wayne County, Ohio, Dec. 21, 1834.

At the age of twenty-one years was united in marriage to Clarrena Young, three children were born , two sons and a daughter, one son and the daughter are dead.

In 1870 with his family he moved to Republic county where he homestead. living on his farm until May of this year, when he moved near his son, Jerome Templeton. He joined the United Brethren Church eighteen years ago and lived a faithful Christian life.

He leaves his wife, one son, Jerome, three grandchildren and four sisters.

The funeral was held at the United Brethren church in this city, Tuesday morning conducted by Mrs. Mary C. Mead. Burial was made in the Belleville cemetery.
