Wednesday September 5, 1951 "Winnipeg Free Press" Dragged for more than 100 feet beneath the wheels of a speeding auto shortly after 10 p.m Tuesday, Garfield Billedeau, 43 years old Canadian Pacific railway switchman lies in Winnipeg General Hospital, suffering severe injuries. Both his legs and broken, his hips and pelvis are fractured, and at an early hour this afternoon his condition was reported as poor. Died in Hospital a few days following the traffic accident died from multiple injuries. Lived at Chalmers Avenue with his wife and children.
Loving remembered by his wife Mary Patricia and children Sandra, Gary, George, and Eleanor.
