Final rites for James Henry Boyd, resident of Martins Mill for 56 years, were held Sunday afternoon at the Martins Mill Baptist Church with Rev. Roy M. Bailey officiating. Interment was in the Liberty Cemetery.
Mr. Boyd, 77, a retired farmer, passed away in an Athens hospital after a short illness. He moved to Martins Mill from Alabama when he was a young man.
Pallbearers were Grady Lancaster, Kenneth Lancaster, Joe Williams, Maury Sharpiro, O.H. Cisco and Bob Bozarth.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. J.H. Boyd of Martins Mill; two sons, Raymos Boyd of Gladewater and Melby Boyd of Martins Mill; two daughters, Mrs. Idilla Willis and Mrs. Addie Lancaster of Martins Mill; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
