Claudie Lee Harper, age 76, of Saline, died Monday, January 14 in the Jackson Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 15 in the Magnolia Baptist Church in Saline. Rev. Doyle McGrew and Rev. Gary Palmer conducted the services.
Burial was in the mill Creek Cemetery near Saline under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Harper of Saline; three sons, Travis Harper and James Harper, both of Saline and Jimmy Harper of Shreveport;
Five daughters, Mrs. Rosalee Hammontree of Mansfield, Mrs. Marie Cox of Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Bienville, Mrs. Betty Jean Daniels of Baycliff, Texas and Mrs. Christine Hay of Pineville;
Three brothers, Arlis Harper and F. B. Harper, both of Saline and Roy Harper of Readhimer; three sisters, Mrs. Maudie Green and Mrs. Oma Cole, both of Shreveport, Mrs. Mildred Mathews of Saline; 31 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were Sam Stanford, Bud Wiggins, J.T. Wiggins, David Hammondtree, Andy Pardue, Julius Harper, Randy Hammontree and Claude Mathis.
