BRISTOL, VA - Martha Marie Rhymer, age 67, passed away on Aug. 7, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Bristol, a daughter to the late Burley and Pearl O'Neal Eads. Marie was a former radiology tech at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and a member of Bibleway Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, J.D. Eads and George Eads. Survivors include husband of 49 years, Charles W. Rhymer Sr.; sons, Charles W. Rhymer Jr. and Kenneth W. Rhymer; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Tilly, Lola Hopkins, Wanda Mullins & husband, Lee; brother, Jerry Eads & wife, Lynn. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Rouse officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home. Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.
