Born in Seefeld, Pomerania, Prussia to August and Henrietta (Wolfgram) Ohm. Migrated to the US in 1874 with his father and brother Herman, and two sisters Helene and Ulrike. Settled in Kossuth County Iowa in 1875. Married Carolina B. Seegebarth (b. June 2, 1870) at Lotts Creek Lutheran Church on October 16, 1887. Children of Albert and Carolina were Erich Hermann Wilhelm Ohm, Paul H.C. Ohm, Martha M. Ohm, Hulda A. Ohm, Ella Ohm, Albert John Otto Ohm. Moved to Hankinson, Richland County, North Dakota approximately 1900.
