Judge Keller was born in Newark, O., and came to Kansas in 1879. In 1901 he came to Chanute and engaged in the real estate business and later in the oil business, in which he was interested till about two years ago, when he went to Colorado.

About two months ago he traded his property in Colorado for a fruit ranch in Arkansas and moved there, but he never recovered from a stroke of paralysis which came to him while in Colorado and did not live to enjoy his home in the Ozarks.

He was twice elected justice of the peace for the city of Chanute, resigning that position when he left here for Colorado.
