Henry married Rachel Furr Oct. 1, 1810 in Cabarrus Co., N.C. She was daughter of Henry Furr ("Fighting Henry Furr" Rev. War patriot) and his wife Catherine Wiser. The Meisenheimers came to Montgomery Co. in about 1833, accompanied to Illinois by H. M. Weisler, Daniel Bost, and Caleb Alexander Bost. Henry Meisenheimer's father was Jacob Meisenheimer and his mother was Elizabeth Cress. (courtesy of descendant Pat Olmstead)

After Rachel's passing in 1870, Henry would later relocate to Harvey County, Kansas. He passed away in 1892 (104 years old) and is buried in an unmarked grave (Greenwood Cemetery near Newton). Photos of both do exist and are in our family archives. My paternal g-g-g grandmother. (courtesy of descendant Eric Swope)
