Chester Vinson call was born on October 6, 1859 in Bountiful, Davis, Utah. To Anson Vasco Call and Eliza Kent Call. There is some debate as to which wife of Anson Call's was Chester's mother. There is evidence both ways. When Chester was a young boy Anson and his first wife Charlotte died. Chester was raised by Eliza Kent Call.

On Oct 1880 in Salt lake City, Utah Chester married Annis Janette Barlow. And to this union they had 9 children
