Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Paul C. and Doshie Tucker Culbertson.
Mr. Culbertson retired from Associated Grocers and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Judith Diane Arney of Greenville; his grandchildren, Charles Andrew Kuykendall of Greenville, Tonya Louise Gill of Texas, and Rebecca Diane Hicks of Greer; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Pauline Bryant of Easley.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Carolyn Culbertson; and a brother, Henry V. Culbertson.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 22, 2009, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
The funeral service will be Sunday, August 23, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
