Sarah was one of seven children born to John and Emily Stewart Little.

The other children were: Milton A., Mary Ellie, John Thomas, William Martin, Lenora "Nora" and Minnie Maud Little.

She married William Jackson Montgomery July 7, 1901 in Lawrence County, Alabama.

They had the following children: Barna Jackson, Atrice, Selma, Willie Benford, Wallace Clintford, Opal Dale, Othel Dean, Don Stewart, Johnnie Hudson and Ester Bea Little.

Mrs. W.J. Montgomery Goes To Her Reward

Mrs. W. J. Montgomery, 52, one of Lawrence county's good mothers, died of pneumonia at her home south of Hatton yesterday morning at 5:30 o'clock after an illness of about one week.

Funeral services were conducted at the home today at 10:30 by Bro. Billy Harrison, interment following at the Ferguson cemetery.

The deceased is survived by her husband, W.J. Montgomery; four sons, Barney, Benford, Don and Hudson; five daughters, Mrs. J. D. Counts, Mrs. A.T. Thompson, Mrs. George Bayne and Misses Otho and Esther Bee Montgomery; three brothers, M.A., J.T. and W.M. Little; and three sisters, Mrs. Ellie Kelley, Mrs. Nona Harrison and Mrs. Maud Craig.

Mrs. Montgomery was for many years a member of the Church of Christ.
